ForewarnTerms of Service
The important one, first. Forewarn is a decision-support tool. It flags orders that look unusual so a person can look at them. It is not a guarantee, it does not stop fraud by itself, and it cannot act on your store. Every decision about an order remains yours.
1. What the service is
Forewarn reads orders and customer records from your OpoShop store, applies a set of transparent rules to produce a risk score, and notifies you about orders that exceed the threshold you set. That is the entire service.
2. What it explicitly is not
- It is not a fraud guarantee, chargeback insurance, or an indemnity of any kind.
- It does not block, cancel, hold or refund orders, and has no technical ability to do so.
- It is not a judgement about any person. A score is a prompt to look, nothing more.
- It is not legal, financial or compliance advice.
3. Your responsibilities
- You decide what to do with a flagged order. Cancelling, refunding or refusing a customer is your action and your call.
- You are responsible for treating your customers lawfully and fairly, including anti-discrimination obligations that apply to your business.
- You confirm you have the right to install an app on the store you connect it to.
4. Accuracy
Forewarn will sometimes flag a perfectly good order, and it will sometimes miss a bad one. Its rules are heuristics over the data your store holds, and they are shown to you in full precisely so you can judge them. Do not use a Forewarn score as the sole basis for a consequential decision about a customer.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously but do not guarantee uptime. Scoring depends on OpoShop's webhook delivery and API availability; if either is interrupted, orders can be scored afterwards from within the app.
6. Data
How data is read, stored and deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You may erase your store's data at any time from within the app.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to use the service to access another store's data, to reverse-engineer or overload the API, or to build a competing product from its outputs. We may suspend an installation that does so.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Found is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of Forewarn, including losses from fraud that Forewarn did not flag, or from a legitimate order that was refused because Forewarn flagged it. The service is provided "as is".
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be dated above and noted in the app's release notes. You may uninstall at any time, which stops all processing.
